"I have been asked to evaluate Head Coach, Franklin Easton of Ironstone Performance based on my experience based on my experience training with him for nearly two years. I wholeheartedly endorse Franklin as a strength coach and as an individual.  Coaching, as with many endeavors is a subtle blend of art and science. Franklin has clearly demonstrated his science-based knowledge of strength training while coaching me over the past two years. However equally important is his ability to "artfully" apply that knowledge through keep observation and skillful communication. I face the usual physical challenges of a 76 year-old powerlifter, and some days I'm just not feelin it. However, Franklin and I have been able to continue to make strength gains through his skillful mentoring of weight training and equally important, insightful technique improvement. (It's worth noting that we always have fun and he takes care that I don't hurt myself!)  I have also observed Franklin successfully coaching other athletes in the gym. Women and men of various ages training in our facility have made significant strength gains and improved their technique through his skillful coaching. I gratefully acknowledge that Franklin's coaching led to my recent first-place finish in equipped bench press in the IPF World Masters championships in St. Johns, Newfoundland."

"I remember one day I was struggling with a 5 rep set squatting heavy weights. I just couldn't get the depth. Franklin stopped me and made me go to lighter weights, repositioned my feet, knees, and chest and focused on repeating good form before moving up in weight. In a couple  weeks I saw significant improvement blowing past the weight with which I had struggled. I went to set a USAPL American record in the squat as well as the deadlift and total weight and was 2019 National Champion USAPL in the M4 division."
